Progress is slow but steady.
Brochure and flyer designs are completed!! Now it’s time to print and disseminate the fliers to the masses. The memo is being drafted to the Mayor. People lined up to participate and partner. I still have a lot of work to do and a long road ahead I know that the fruits of my labor will be so plentiful.
People who experience the loss of their residence, for whatever the reason, go thru so many emotions. It is like a roller coaster ride. Change is hard sometimes even with the best laid out plans. I know that my project will be an incredible life saving adventure for me. I know that staying here in this apartment has been slowly killing me. Sometimes we need certain things to happen in our lives to allow us to be innovative. I feel like my life was training to succeed in this great task.
In October I met with most of all the politicians at state and local level. Everyone loves the project and willing to help. I attended the Mayor of LAs Days of Compassion, so now I am meeting lots of faith leaders whom we want to partner with. They can provide things like temporary 30 day housing, help provide training room facilities, meals or kitchen access, donated items on the list and much more.
November will be the month to focus on building those partnerships and handing out the flyers. By the end of the year the program needs to have 5-10 participants and partners to support the program. The program is focusing on homeless veterans and woman as well as foster care youths that have aged out. I have almost all the programming completed and will be looking forward to lining up all the training partners.
Thru cooperation we can help 100’s maybe 1000’s of people start a new life, elevating their happiness and provide small organic farms and intentional communities what they need, labor they can afford.
on a side note: The city of LA is having a problem with where the people living in RVs can dump their black water. But I have an easy solution. Eliminating the bio hazard of RV waste and requiring zero visits to the dump sites. I will add that to the memo to the Mayor.

This all sounds so amazing Heather. I can’t wait to see more updates. I love the program you’re starting for the homeless and foster kids. We SO need this. I would love to be part of this movement.
